Thank you for this posting. I heard similar lecture with Sw. Muktananda in New York, 1980. After meditating for 50 years, I can attest to the fact that the Guru takes or “burns up” karma. Five days after my shaktipat, a Sikh guru, Kirpal Singh, appeared in my dream and said: The initiation went very well, all obstales in your life have been removed. This turned out to be true. My life has been a magical wonder, all due to Siddha lineage. The mantra, is very powerful. I do a lot of japa. I listen to Laxmi puja on youtube and she blesses me with wealth. I am, it appears, a very lucky person. If you’re reading this….I give you this. Meditate every day. Be curious about sadhana, Be persistent. Don’t waste time. The waking state offers nothing….just drama and noise. Go within….even ten minutes a day to start. I’m not special…..I just persisted in my daily practice and have been granted Samadhi. 46 years and Gurudev gave me a wondrous state of mind. If I can achieve….you can too. I wish you well. Persist. If you doubt process….refer to Kedarji….he knows. SGMKJ.
