Ganesha Chaturthi, the great Ganesha festival, is celebrated in temples and ashrams around the world as the birthday of Lord Ganesha. It is observed during the Hindu month of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September). The grandest and most elaborate of these celebrations lasts for 10 days, ending on the day of Ananta Chaturdashi, a celebration to Lord Ananta Lord Vishnu. Shri Ganesh represents the removal of the obstacles to Liberation.
On Wednesday evening, September 12th, in celebration of this very auspicious occasion, Kedarji will offer a talk, “One-Pointedness On The Removal of Obstacles.” There will also be an offering of Ganesh Puja and Abhishek of the Ganesh Murthi. The very auspicious Shri Vighneshwara Shodasha Namavalih (16 primary names to invoke Ganesha) Vedic Mantras will be offered for the Blessing of all.
**Prayers will also be offered. If you have a prayer for the removal of an obstacle in your life, you can bring your prayer in written form for Sadguru Kedarji to offer during the Ganesh Puja. Prasad (blessed food) will be served at the end of this event.
Seating begins at 6:45pm. Program runs from 6:50-8:30pm at Nileshwar Shaktipat Meditation, Wellness & Spiritual Retreat Center, 841 Boardman-Canfield Rd. Suite 302, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
**This is an annual fundraiser for our school. We are a not-for-profit public charity. The suggested donation is $45 per person. Tickets can be acquired in advance with your donation, or at the door.
**Please reserve in advance, even if you have attended programs in the past, so that we know how much Prasad to prepare.
